Dengeki Online and Girl’s Style mention a new franchise that popped up at Comket from Red Entertainment called Scared Rider Xechs - the katakana makes the first word sound more like Skah-red, and it looks like it has an…umlaut…above the ‘r’ (does that even make sense?) so I’m not sure what word it’s supposed to be.
The staff includes pako-san as character design, from Shining Wind Feather and Rental Magika), Satou Dai as writer from Eureka Seven and Higashi no Eden.
Right now there’s only a teaser site, but it says it will offically open in September.
Pretty mysterious all in all, but I do like the artstyle! The Dengeki article says it hasn’t been decided whether Scared Rider Xechs will be a manga, an anime (maybe a game?) and it will be developed by listening to fans. Oh, the themes of the story are ‘red sky’, ‘young men’ (as the main characters?), ‘scars’ (??) ‘south’ (???), ‘sea and rock’, and ‘inochigake’, which is something like putting it all on the line (literally betting your life). So, ah…maybe it’s about, um, a young man with scars from a tough childhod, betting his life on…traveling south to the sea where there’s a red sky…and he rocks out? I have no clue.
What do you think it could be?

For some reason, I felt like making a list of all my games XD So now it’s here. Huh. That’s kind of a lot. And there’s only more coming

Yup, I thought it was scheduled for October, but it’s now officially December. I don’t mind, the fall has quite enough money-sucking games already!! Oh, and the site is now open. The Story and Information is up, characters are coming soon.

Whee, several more games announced in this month’s B’s Log and Girl’s Style!
Fall 2009
Winter 2009
Lots of news about other, not brand-new games as well, including…a Hiiro no Kakera 2 remake!!! Not a port or adaptation, this is a pure remake…I might do a post on this later. In fact, just look at all those HnK releases – I think I’ll name October 1 Hiiro no Kakera Day!
Other news on release dates and adaptations:

Brand new from icingCandy (a label from Interchannel), Blood Call for the PC has an interesting setup.
The main character, Futaba, is living a normal life with her mother in the city Glazheim, where humans and hanki, people who look mostly like humans but have superhuman abilities, live together in apparent peace. What Futaba doesn’t know is that her father, whom she thought was dead, was actually the head of a group called “Freikorps”. She comes home one day and her mother has disappeared and her apartment is vandalized. Strange men try to kidnap her, but before they can, two young men show up and save her. They are twins, the older Shirou (CV: Hino Sou), and the younger Reimei (CV: Nakamura Shuuichi), who worked for her father, and have come to fetch her to be the new head of Freikorps.
It turns out the group is in a covert battle against another group Nede, headed by Jin (CV: Morikawa Toshiyuki), that is performing experiments on humans and hanki alike, enhancing their abilities even more. There’s also Cain (CV: Namikawa Daisuke), who is a Nede member totally loyal to Jin, though he doesn’t agree with Nede’s experiments, Kugami Kyou (CV: Ishida Akira), Freikorps’ doctor, and Wataru (CV: Suzumura Kenichi), who used used to be a Nede member.

Someone asked me a while ago about Love Revo (sorry it took so long!), and specifically about Ichinose Ren, whose route is the hardest to finish. I thought some general strategy might help – now this is from the PS2 version, but AFAIK it still applies:
1. The first month, spend as much time as possible on Research. Get it up to 100, it will make everything you do more effective.
2. Starting the first weekend in May(the second month), start inviting the guy on dates every week. Save and reload as many times as you need for them to agree – it will take several times at the beginning.
3. When it’s time for the guy to ask you to come along on his vacation (July 1), his heart should be green.
4. For Ichinose, you also need to be at least 90-95kg by that time.
5. Buy the CD of soothing music 『 ヒーリングミュージック集 』 ASAP – when you’re getting hungry, you can use it to reduce hunger without snacking. The sauna suit 『 頑丈なサウナスーツ 』 is also very effective – I think you can only buy it on the weekend.
Hope this helps!

Well, I’m almost done at least the normal routes of everyone. That means that I can finally finish the ‘ura’ or back route that involves the GTR, Bear-6, Kamijou, and the president guy. Each time you finish a character you can see one chapter of that story, and I’m near the end of Yakumo!
Who knows how long it will take me to really finish, since there’s so much extras – I’ll probably finish everyone’s dream and perfect routes soon, but getting all the extra scenes (especially the ones you get with perfect test scores) may never happen – I haven’t even finished all of them from VitaminX still…

Yeah, so I’m taking a break on VitaminZ for a little while (it has SO much content!), and have started e’tude prologue portable – since it’s on the PSP I play it in bed
The graphics are the same (same backgrounds and, for common characters, same designs) as Little Aid. The game itself is one of the few boy-or-girl lead character games that came out in the 90′s. You pick which one you want to be, and if you’re a girl, you can go for the guy characters, and vice versa if you’re the guy.
The two title characters, Hitomi and Tatsuya, have a history together – they dated for a while before the game’s timeframe. You can choose to ‘still like’ the other one and try to get back together, or go for one of the other 4 or 5 prospects. When picking Hitomi, you get a little prologue of how she was the tennis team’s ace, but got beaten by someone and quit the team. Now she’s studying to get into a really hard university and wondering if it’s the right choice.
There’s a lot of dialogue in the game, and frankly some of it is pretty boring. Since there are all the possible female love interests as well as the male ones around, you get introduced and can have scenes with them a lot. However, after the long intro (which you can skip after the first time), you really only have to play through two weeks to Valentine’s Day.
There are a few minigames, including a blackjack one and an ‘identify that book’ one where you get the title and have to work out where a certain book is in the library, but honestly I have no idea what they do. I only did them when the guy I was interested in wasn’t on the map (you choose where to go and can see character icons of who’s in that scene). I really don’t know how it affects the outcome – same with how you choose to do an activity at your part-time job – I have no idea how this affects things either.
I’ve only finished one route so far but it was pretty simple to complete. It’s obvious that this is an early game – the epilogue is about three sentences long, and during the whole route I think I got about 3 CG’s. However, the seiyuu are definitely recognizable (Ono Daisuke is, of course, the be-fuku’ed Sawatou-kun) and it’s enjoyable. I wouldn’t exactly recommend this, but if you really like the characters in Little Aid you might want to play this and see their earlier years.
Now I’ll try to go and finish some more of VitaminZ…I dunno why I feel like I can’t write a review of that till I finish almost everything, but I write about this after playing only one route, heh.
