On the first page of the new B’s Log, there’s an announcement of a new game from Poni Pachet, the theme of which is…the mafia and magicians in the land of Oz! What this game, Ozmafia, will be like, I have NO clue, but the art is very nice. There’ll be more info in the next B’s Log.

Otomate is working with Gust on a new Atelier title! If you’re not familiar with the Atelier series, it’s a series of games where you’re a young alchemist, and have to build up your abilities while making new items through alchemy . The Otomate Atelier title, Atelier Elkrone, will include romance along with the alchemy sim elements.

A new R18 game was announced, Kimi ga Tame, Koishi Midareshi Tsuki no Hana, for the PC. The main character is a female ninja (a kunoichi), and it’s set in the Edo era.

Exorcism of Maria, from Karin, is going to be re-released for the PSP.

A date is set for releasing Angelique -Maren no Rokukishi-. It will come out for the PSP on November 11.

New games:

• A partially free online game called Star Project with some nice character designs as well. The heroine inherits the position of president of a production company that’s in a lot of debt, and is trying to make it success. The three idols right now are: Tooya (CV: Terajima Takuma), Ren (CV: Ishida Akira), and Torian (CV: Miki Shinichirou). I think it may be up already! (Update: You can sign up, but the game is down for final testing (I think they just finished their beta) until June.)
• Hitofuta Kihyou – the heroine has just transferred to an all-dorm school, and accidentally releases 12 spirits from a scroll, and thus has to re-seal them. It’s for the PC from Profitrolle, and right now is saying early summer.
• Miyako fandisk on June 30: I still haven’t even finished one route, I couldn’t focus on it…
• Kaminaru Kimi to – from Otomate for the PSP. The heroine is a normal girl who suddenly becomes a ‘kami’, and gains the power to perform miracles to grant people wishes. However, she can’t use her power for her own desires. Scheduled for September.

Release dates:

• Gekkan Ryouran Romance in August
• Bunmei Kaika Aoiza Ibunroku – Aug 18

• A web-based game that’s apparently active now: Girls’ Paradise. I’m not sure if you actually get endings, or just ‘enjoy being popular’, as the game says, as long as you want.

This doesn’t cover the most recent B’s Log released last week, so there may well be even more games coming up soon. I’m having trouble keeping up with all these!

• New game from Sanctuary called Miyako set in the Heian era – platform, timing, and rating all TBD! (nice art tho)
• New PC game from experienced amateurs Landkarte which sounds very intriguing – the heroine can have one of five different personalities, and her face is hidden!
• New R18 game from UtM artist! Another loli heroine!
• Fandisk for Wand of Fortune! And I haven’t even finished one route in WoF…
• Fandisk for Garnet Cradle!
• Scoop on Waga Ichizoku – all the six brothers (who as someone commented are all very different) have different mothers!!

OK, on to the news! New games, yay! Including the one from a keitai game that will only be available by download to Japanese DSi’s, Himitsu no Daioku. Boo.

The other game announcement is Tsundere S Otome, a new R18 game from Mirai for the PC, and tentatively scheduled for 2009. ‘S’? Does this mean there will be one R18 game where the heroine isn’t spineless, lacking a personality and/or kind of a moron?? (OK yes, Ash wasn’t too bad – in some routes, and Yoshitsune was mostly sensible except for the whole onii-chan fixation).

The newest title in Otomate’s non-otome brand Otomate Forte, Date ni Gametsui Wake Ja Nee for the DS, is scheduled for the end of October. This brand is aimed at girls, but the main character of this RPG is again a guy…sigh.

• A new otome brand produced by Yuuki Azusa from the Fantastic Fortune series is called Strawberry*Maiden. Their first title is Pretty Witch Academy, is R18, and is coming out in 2009.
• A new title for the PS2 is announced from Dimple, called Love Route Zero. It’s based on a popular mobile comic series
